“My children have been to many camps in the area. I was hesitant about taking my son all the way to Georgetown from Germantown. But, it was well worth the trip. I think it was one of the most organized and beneficial sessions that he has attended.
“My son, Jacob Hill was very fortunate to take one of your summer clinics, which was offered at Lake Shore. It was the most incredible training opportunity he has ever experienced. Thank you so much for such an informative training clinic. We will be watching for every opportunity for any further clinics. Again, thank you so much for wonderful and comprehensive training program you offer to our children.”
“My son Will attended your camp last week at St. Johns. He was a little apprehensive about going to a camp and not knowing anyone. Well, he had a GREAT time and learned more about the fundamentals of baseball in your week long camp then he has playing little league for the last three years. He won one of your skills competitions on Friday and proudly wore his t-shirt for two days until I made him take it off. You really do a wonderful job with the kids. Do you run any clinics over the winter or early spring —Will can’t wait to put all the things he learned to practice and he’s already made sure I know that he wants to go back next year.”
“Diamond Skills Baseball is the most comprehensive youth training program available. The wealth of coaching experience Kevin Gibbs, Chris Rodriguez and Mark Gibbs bring together is unmatched by any other camp. The progress kids make at one week of a Diamond Skills camp is amazing.”
“I wanted to take a few minutes of your time to express how pleased I am with your organization. I had the opportunity to spend the week watching the camp and the superb job Diamond Skills instructors did with the kids. I can assure you that I will be coaching the Tigers for a very long time and will stress the importance of my team attending the camps that Diamond Skills has to offer for years to come. I look forward to a long relationship with your organization, because you are all truly professionals.”
“My son Kenny was in your camp at Annapolis last week. WHAT A WONDERFUL CAMP IT WAS! The coaches were great! They were enthusiastic, organized and the kids learned so much about baseball. Thanks again HE LOVED IT!”
“Robbie has talked several times about how good your camp was. He has attended several other instructional camps and nothing else has come close. He is really looking forward to his next Diamond Skills camp.”
“My son, Chris, really enjoyed your camp. He learned a lot of new techniques to apply to his game. He can’t wait to participate in the next camp! Thank you.”
“My son, Sam Gondelman, has been taking the workshop at Whitby Gym on Saturday. Sam LOVES the clinic. When I picked him up two weeks ago the first words out of him mouth were, ‘That was so much much fun.’”
“Kevin, Chris and Mark, I just wanted to thank you all for an outstanding, awesome, well taught, well organized, and well run summer camp for Lorton Little League baseball players. We are looking forward to your winter clinic.”
“Diamond Skills is a great organization that teaches the fundamentals of baseball very well. I would think that any child would benefit from their camp, especially those that are new to the game. I believe that the earlier we can teach our kids the proper fundamentals, the more quickly they will advance, and the more fun they’ll have with the game.”
“My kids are very serious about baseball and as a parent I am very serious about their development. I have found the Diamond Skills Camps to be very well organized and my kids have learned a great deal. I found the coach to player ratio to be outstanding with a lot of one on one instruction. I also feel there is a high level of bonding that takes place with both the players and the coaches. Most importantly the kids had a great time, saw a lot of baseballs, and seemed to have made friends for life.”
“I am deeply indebted to my friend Matt Eiden who suggested that we send my grandson to your camps. He went to the hitting camp at Georgetown Visitation and then to St. John’s. I could not have conjured up two better experiences for my grandson’s enjoyment. I cannot convey my perception of the overwhelming level of professionalism, enthusiasm, organization and class I have observed. There is not much of that left these days but your hard work did not go unnoticed.”
Feedback is always tough to get, you have done this for so long I’m sure compliments are old hat. Nevertheless, the least I can do is offer the following casual observations:
• Use of facebook as a tool was exceptional / your social media directors should be very proud of what they accomplished
• The staff was great – always putting a positive, enjoy the game spin on anything which is much different than the kids may encountered in their own spheres. I know that is true for my grandson’s experiences.
• If a kid does not have his confidence boosted from being exposed to five days of a professional baseball level operation – I’d be surprised.
• “love of the game” – baseball has tradition, unwritten rules, behavior that is acceptable and unacceptable. With your combination of exercise, teaching, oversight, films, a kid could not fail to grasp why he should “love the game” and embrace its tradition.
• You have a subtle discipline in what you ask the kids to do and I think you successfully squire them around from task to task.
• The entire event has a big league feel – from MVP, silver slugger, to the announcer making sure the umpires know that there is an eye doctor available after the game for free consultations.
Your passion for the game is obvious and your skills to translate this into teaching boys is remarkable.
Thanks for all your effort.
