This is the ultimate camp for players who love to hit! We believe there are four aspects to becoming a good hitter: Swing Mechanics, Eye Hand Coordination, Mental Approach and Confidence. At the Hitting Factory we will work on drills that cover all these aspects of hitting. This camp will teach you everything you need to become the best hitter you can be!

Video Analysis
This gives players the opportunity to see their swing on video. Players can usually make adjustments quicker when they can see on tape what they need to correct.

Swing Mechanics
Players will focus on the proper fundamentals of the swing. Although every hitter is different there are some underlying fundamentals that most hitters use to be successful. We will focus on a few different techniques each week that we believe are needed to be a good hitter.

Eye Hand Coordination
The ability to consistently get the barrel of the bat on the ball is heavily impacted by a player’s eye-hand coordination. Players will work on drills each week that will help them improve this under taught skill.

Mental Approach
Players will be taught the nuances of pitch patterns. Understanding what a pitcher is likely to throw in a given situation increases the hitter’s ability to hit that particular pitch hard.

Strike Zone Development
As Ted Williams famously said “The first rule of hitting is getting a good pitch to hit.” Hitters need to understand what a good pitch is and how to develop strike zone discipline at the plate.

Confidence
The most valuable commodity available to hitters is the ability to believe they can succeed. We will share techniques that we have used and have watched other professional players use to help gain confidence at home plate.

Release Point Recognition
Many hitters do not understand how to use a ‘soft focus, hard focus’ approach to maximize their vision at release point. We will work on drills to teach this skill.

Eye Exercises
Players will be given drills that help them develop better vision thru stronger eye muscles.

Core Strength Exercises
Players will work each week on improving their ‘core’ strength which is the foundation for balance and power at the plate.
